I “discovered” Stella on Facebook. She’s the perfectly pampered, rescued pooch of a Facebook friend of mine who gave me permission to paint her.

*** Update: I am currently working on “one dog at a time” photos.  I have two pups on my own and trust me, I appreciate anyone who is able to successfully take a good photo of two (or more) pups together, but at this time…please send me separate pics of your pups! 

A “headshot” is typically best for the type of work that I do with a minimal background.  Please keep in mind that it takes me several hours (and sometimes a few days) to complete my work and I may not choose your photo to work with.  If I choose your photo, I will ask that you sign a release so that I can use the original on my blog as a “before and after”.

…that’s why I was pretty specific when I chose a local dental office for my kids.  Thankfully, we live in a bigger town than I grew up in so it wasn’t a one-stop-shop. I did my research and even made my husband be the “test-dummy” if you will.

I settled on Remington Family Dental in Billings…and am beyond thrilled that I did.  My kids LOVE Dr. Pocock and Dr. Townsend.  In fact, my daughter even wrote a “thank you for cleaning my teeth” card prior to her most-recent appointment.

They are great with kids and even better with shell-shocked dental-phobes like myself.

That’s why I created this website for them.  In return for my kids not biting them….kidding, of course.  ;)

Therefore I decided to enjoy a little “me-time” tonight and update the Daily Deal Directory. Normally I knit and watch mindless shows (like Real Housewives of…wherever)…but this was just as fun.  There’s nothing better than a little linking, coding…and shopping…(except for knitting and reality tv).

PS. I bought a sweet wine deal from Wine.com via Groupon.  You can be a real housewife…of wherever and still enjoy this deal.  All in a days’ work, I guess.

I just launched Trick or Feed.com.  It started with an effort to get my kids involved in a service project and turned into something bigger…and better.  My kids and I were talking about ways that we can collect food for our local food bank and naturally the “door-to-door” trick-or-treating ritual seemed like a natural fit.

I’ve created some flyers and a poster you can use if you’d like to participate in your own community.  I also hope that you will share the website and mission with your friends and family.
