PhpBay Review: Add Ebay Auctions to Your Blog / Website with PhpBay Pro

Before I started designing sites and banners for my customers I had at least a half-dozen blogs of my own that I designed and authored.   Once my design business took off…my personal sites and blogs were neglected a bit.

Not anymore!  This week I purchased a Wordpress Plug-in for $49.00 that allows me to Add Ebay Auctions to My Website.  To be honest with you, I was a bit hesitant at first.  I don’t have a lot of free time and certainly didn’t want to spend what little time I have playing with code and uploading scripts.

At the same time, I did not want to see the blogs that I put so much effort into fall by the wayside.

So, I gave PhpBay Pro a try.  Within a few hours, I was able to turn my Simple SAHM.com wordpress blog into a complete online store.  An hour or so later, I turned my Super Dooper Cute blog into an online boutique.

I am still able to post blog entries on the sites and I can add videos, affiliate advertising and everything else I was doing when I was a full-time blogger.

I am so excited about the plug-in that I plan to create stores out of an additional 10 domain names I purchased.  (Some girls buy shoes…I buy domains!) =)

One more thing…

Many of you are probably wondering what the difference is between PhpBay and BANS (Build a Niche Store). While I am certainly not an expert I have a few observations I’d like to share…

I prefer BANS for my stand-alone sites (ie: everythingbirthdaycakes.com & craftkits2go.com).  The script is *very* simple to use and is perfect for someone who may be less familiar with site design and blogging. For a more seasoned blogger / designer BANS is a bit more limited in terms of adding content and template design.

If you are a Wordpress user already, PhpBay is an easy-to-use addition to your current content.   Also PhpBAY sells for $49.00 which is a little less painful on the pocketbook than BANS which currently retails for $97.

If you’d like to see the plugin in action check out my newly remodeled sites below.

  3. Thanks for the informative site. I use Wordpress to keep track of my beauty product reviews. I’ve been looking for a cheap and dependable software to give my online store a new look. Thanks for pointing me to the right direction.
